ACC have just anounced a 24% increase in levies to be phased in next year. Various bureaucrats have been trotted out to justify why such a massive increase is needed including Maryan Street the ACC Minister, who presumably rubber stamped it all.

What it comes down to is that ACC are profligate spenders who will find ways and means to ever increase their spending with little or no checks and balances. This year they spent untold dollars on television advertising "to improve their image". A ten minute google search trying to find any information on how much ACC spends on advertising elicited ziltch, but it's in the tens of millions. This week they were handing out cups of tea and sausages to truck drivers to get them to take breaks. Oh, I'm sure they can justify every cent spent in their eyes, but the fact of the matter is that no one in this present government is ready to stand up and say "you have a budget, live within it and cut your cloth to suit"

I voted Labour the last 3 elections. I'll be voting for the other bunch of tossers next year and all John Key has to do is keep his mouth shut or outline a few policies on how to curb spending by the likes of ACC and the bunch of thicko's that make up this present Labour coalition will be out in such numbers that the Aussie election will look like a close race. Unfortunately we'll probably get more of the same with Keys' mob but one lives in hope that one day there will be people in government with an ounce of common sense.

There...... I've got that off my chest and it feels much better!!
