A spokesman for childrens book authors was quoted over the weekend voicing concern about censorship of books in school libraries. Apparently political correctness has got to the ridiculous state where if a book has a reference to such things as 'fish and chips' it is banned because it poses a threat to promoting unhealthy eating. The lunatics have taken over the asylum in every walk of life now!

You might find your electricity meter(s) being replaced in the very near future. Power companies are replacing the older style meters with 'smart' ones which communicate directly with the Company thus making Meter Readers redundant. If you had two meters, they will be replaced by one. The one meter will only display the total units used, so if you are on two tariffs, it will be impossible to differentiate the usage between the two. You can see what will be coming next. The power Companies will be able to alter the tarrifs at any time of the day such as reading the meters at 5pm and again at 7pm charging a higher rate for the peak period. Of course they will deny such an intention, but watch this space........
