Sevenhill Shiraz 1998.

This 10 year old wine 4 star wine is at its drinking best now. Quite soft on the palate, the fruit is fairly restrained now and the wine has a more European mouth feel to it rather than the big fruity style usually associated with Aussie numbers. This is attributable to its age.

Sevenhill Cellars can always be relied on for a consistent standard of wine at a reasonable price and this wine does nothing to diminish that reputation.

August Update:
The second tasting of this wine proved bottle consistency and that this wine has peaked. Any remaining in your cellar should be drunk over the next couple of years. There is an element of liquorice and cedar on the palate more noticeable than before. Still an enjoyable drop though.
